A couple of changes to the scholarship application process to note...
With the holiday season upon us and most of the Chin family getting together in a couple of weeks, we've decided to extend the eligible application period. The new deadline to submit your completed application is DECEMBER 15th.
We've also clarified that official transcripts will be requested of finalists only. This will save the hassle and expense for others who apply. Finalists will need to provide an official transcript, and if your school does not offer electronic, verifiable versions (online or fax), then we'll provide a mailing address as necessary.
Hope that hasn't caused anyone undue inconvenience! Best of luck to all applicants!
Thanks for letting me know about this, Calvin. I've forwarded the information to a student of mine at USC whom I think is a strong candidate.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Ben

I am friend of Curtis at Chicago. I knew him from Tammy Duckworth's campaign for congressman this year.
It is a touching story behind this foundation. I wish the foundation will inspire and help those young generations with positive attitude toward this society after their graduation.
Over all, Let us salute to whoever put energy and time on this foundation. Thank you.
Respectfully regard,
Michael Lu

Michael, thanks for the words of support. While it's a family effort here, the Foundation wouldn't be what it is without people like you and Grant spreading the word, encouraging us, and giving us the financial resources to make this all happen. And we can't forget all the great people at AAPIP too!

Hi,
I saw this scholarship opportunity on my ucla homepage just had to check out this website. Though my parents have not worked in a restaurant in years, and I won't be applying for the scholarship myself, I really applaud the foundation's effects. This scholarship will help a student who has struggled, but yet kept working hard even when financial odds are against them. I'm glad all of you had a happy thanksgiving and because of your kindness, a student will have another thing to be thankful for this holiday season. Cheers!

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the very nice words of support. We all think of the Foundation as a continuation of the life's work of our parents; and the scholarship is a gift of hope and help to students working hard to realize their dreams.
