SKAC Foundation

  • Mission
The Mission of The Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Foundation ("The SKAC Foundation") is to honor the values of restaurant owners Shui Kuen and Allen Chin through supporting the educational aspirations of children of workers in the Asian/Pacific Islander food service industry in the United States of America.
  • History/genesis
The selfless commitment and hard work of Shui Kuen and Allen Chin, co-owners and operators of Chung's, a well-known Chinese restaurant in the greater Detroit area, allowed their six children to successfully complete post-secondary education and pursue a diverse range of career paths. With pride, the Chins regularly shared news of their children's latest accomplishments with long-time and new restaurant customers alike. On October 11, 2005, Allen Chin lost his life on his way to the restaurant. Shui Kuen Chin survived the car accident and provided encouragement to her children as they sought to turn the family tragedy into something positive. The result is The Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Foundation.
  • Supporting educational aspirations
The Chin children have decided that The SKAC Foundation's support of educational aspirations will take the form of an annual scholarship award program to be known as The SKAC Scholarship. Subject to change, two (2) annual scholarships of $1,000 will be made.

Earn up to $3500/month just by taking simple surveys online!

I tried one of those online survey sites about 4 months ago that
say all you have to do is spend a couple of minutes filling out
some surveys and you will be making hundreds a day..... YEAH RIGHT, I didn't make anything.

I joined 7 of these stupid websites and I actually tried filling
out a couple of surveys on each site and they took forever then at
the end they wanted me to buy things or I couldn't complete the
survey.

These are complete scams so be aware!!! I couldn't believe they
were even allowed to sell such bogus products.

Then about 2 weeks ago I was watching the news and they had some
vice presidents and marketing managers of some major multi million
dollar companies talking about a site that they personally work
with to pay consumers for their opinion, A site that actually just
wants the "average Joe's" honest opinion on products and services
and is willing to pay big money to get them. for more information

Yes. We have a clear case of reverse sciirimdnation in the United States. As a recent grad, I am familiar with the college admissions issue. Schools wish to lay claim to a diverse student body. Preference is given to minorities to the extent that very bright and ambitious students are overlooked in favor of minorities. This is a problem for all in the end: the minority graduate is likely to be less qualified (we have lower expectations for minorities), and the ambitious student's potential is not challenged. As a minority, you wouldn't want others thinking, He got in because he's a minority, or She's a minority; if she weren't a minority, she might not have been accepted here ?
